Why Virtual Assisting?

Virtual assisting is not a job you grow up dreaming of doing – at least I didn’t. I didn’t even know it was a thing until about 4 years ago when I started doing it. I was so invested in the wedding industry and decided to try it out to get a little additional income. I never could have guessed that I would ever leave the wedding planning world but here we are.

Wedding planning is great and I truly do love it. But working 12+ hours in one day and missing out on most weekends can get old quickly. Being from the industry, I knew I could take everything I had learned to other creatives and beyond to give them their life back. I decided to take my passion for organization and share it with the world.

Virtual assisting and owning my own business has given me so much more freedom. I get to be with my family and I usually don’t even have to wear real pants (leggings are life). I use all of my secret tools and skills to assist business owners with all the things so they too can get their life back.

It has been just about a full year since this venture took me full time and I truly couldn’t have had a better first year in business. What started out with me asking clients to pay me $15/hour, and me thinking that was too much, has become my family’s main source of income! And it isn’t about the money, but just the fact that I can do this and that I am good at doing this. I am doing something I love to do every single day. I am ready to take my second year in business to the next level.
